On March 31, 2010 in Piaseczno solemnly, with the participation of many distinguished guests, there was opened data center for the group PZU. The project involved the creation of two centers: basic situated in Piaseczno and backup DC located in Warsaw. Qumak-Sekom was the contractor for a backup data center located in the building of PZU Tower in Warsaw.
- This was a particularly demanding project because the server room was built into the existing infrastructure of object and its implementation could not interfere the workplace. This presented us with a serious challenge in a very short period of implementation – recalls Jacek Suchenek, Director of Intelligent Building Technology Division in the Qumak-Sekom SA. Under the contract, the company's specialists have developed the concept of backup center, performed and carried out the design of the administrative procedure, obtained appropriate permits and approval for implementation of the project. Then there were performed construction works and installation in the following areas: power and the power reserve, air conditioning and ventilation, teletechnical systems, automation and BMS. The culmination of which was starting all systems and technical equipment. Centre is equipped with the appropriate information and communication systems, security and fire protection. The contract also includes servicing on the 24/7/365 basis by a three-year warranty. The works were carried out from August to November 2009. The value of the performed work is PLN 6 million gross.
